LeaseAlert is a service provided by WestWon for organisations that use leasing and associated forms of asset finance. The service will help you monitor and get the most out of your leases, from checking the small print, to documenting agreements and alerting you to key end termination dates and advising on the best course of action for returning or buying equipment previously on lease.
Leasing and asset finance is a £22bn industry in the UK and is highly popular method of funding capital equipment. Circa 90% of the top 1,000 companies in the UK will use leasing in some form, in addition to numerous public bodies, charities and smaller privately owned companies. The leasing sector is made up of many highly reputable, well known companies, and during its height in mid 2006/7, the sector employed about 40,000 people. As a successful and reputable leasing and asset finance company ourselves, we strongly advocate the use of this form of financing in an organisation. When used sensibly, leasing is a great asset to most organisations.
The challenge is that many companies – even firms of solicitors, accountants or large public bodies that have a full time leasing employee – do not always have the experience or systems in place to manage leasing.
